HB 609 - Restricts the use, navigation, or piloting of unmanned aircraft systems. Creates criminal penalties and civil remedies. View Bill 

HB 636 - Specifies that the purpose of the aerospace advisory committee includes tracking drone development and use. Requires the committee to appoint a drone regulation temporary working group to study and report to the legislature on recommended legislation. Makes an appropriation. View Bill

HB 637 - Amend the offenses of violation of privacy in the first and second degrees to specifically address the use of unmanned aerial vehicles or "drones" in the commission of these offenses. View Bill

SB 1329 - An act relating to searches and seizures; creating the “Freedom from Unwarranted Surveillance Act”; defining the terms “unmanned aircraft system” and “law enforcement agency”; prohibiting a law enforcement agency, person, entity, state or local public agency from using an unmanned aircraft system to gather evidence or other information; providing exceptions; authorizing an aggrieved party to initiate a civil action in order to prevent or remedy a violation of the act; prohibiting a law enforcement agency from using in any court of law in this state evidence obtained or collected in violation of the act; providing an effective date. View Bill

    Nation’s Defense Bar Reiterates Opposition to Actions Against Law Firms – Washington, DC (March 18, 2025)

    The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) remains deeply concerned over recent executive orders targeting law firms, most recently Paul Weiss and Perkins Coie, and repeats its call to uphold the right to counsel and the independence of the legal profession. Despite a ruling blocking the action against Perkins Coie, the administration has continued to target law firms representing disfavored clients and positions, threatening the right to a zealous defense.
